The ownership of a trademark can be transferred by preparing and signing a trademark assignment. Trademark assignment specifies the detail of the transfer, the assignor (the previous owner) and the assignee (the new owner). It needs to be submitted to the corresponding IPO, which generally takes about 1-2 weeks to accept it.

If you're interested in transferring the ownership of your trademark, our legal services offering includes the preparation of an assignment agreement.
